What is Windows 11 USB Creation?

Creating a bootable USB for Windows 11 lets you install the OS on any compatible PC. It's an external drive with the Windows 11 installer ready to go.

Goal of the Guide

To give you a fast, clear, and reliable method to create a Windows 11 bootable USB using Microsoft's official tool, with Rufus as an optional alternative.

Requirements

  • USB drive (8GB or more)

  • Internet connection

  • Microsoft Media Creation Tool

Step 1: Download Media Creation Tool

  • Download the tool."Download Now"

Step 2: Run Media Creation Tool

  • Run "mediacreationtool.exe"

    Step 3: Set Up Installation Media

    • Select Language & Edition (usually auto-detects).

    • Select USB flash drive . Remember that you need a minimum of 8GB for the OS)

    • Pick your USB from the list.

    • Tool will download Windows 11 and create the bootable USB automatically.

    Step 4: Boot from USB

    • Plug USB into target PC.

    • Enter BIOS (usually F2, F12, or DEL at startup).

    • Set USB as the boot priority.

    • Save and exit.

    Step 5: Install Windows 11

    • Follow installer steps.

    • Clean install: Format target drive.

    • Done.
